AutoBlurb combines two plot systems: S. John Ross's Big List of RPG Plots, which you can see here: http://www.io.com/~sjohn/plots.htm.
--And a literary plot system, which purports to cover every possible plot by using a sort of combination of theme and motive. I no longer have the book I found that system in, but I took notes: if I ever find it, I promise to credit the authors.
I think these two systems complement each other well, because S. John Ross's follows the action while the literary plot system considers only the emotional and character-based angle.
The output is pretty smooth. As with any automatically generated text, it'll be stiff in spots; but I don't believe you'll hit any wincers.
